10/10/2011:  

8/1 & 8/3/2011:  Reports page -- Updated and/or posted the following reports:

  • IME summary of documents -- updated to include meeting outcome reports

  • IME report on the TDG and GHS sub-committee meetings -- posted report

  • UN report on the TDG sub-committee meeting -- posted link to report

  • UN report on the GHS sub-committee meeting -- posted link to report and to list of participants

7/13/2011:  Publications Page -- The 2011 edition of the ADN is now available on-line.  Consult the Publications Page for details.

6/28/2011:  Reports page -- Added links to the UN report and the IME report on the outcome of the working group on explosives (EWG) that met in parallel with the TDG sub-committee.  Due to the highly specialized nature of explosives issues, the EWG meets separately and reviews all explosives proposals for the TDG.  It then reports back to TDG its determinations on those proposals for endorsement by the TDG sub-committee.  The UN report is the official report of the EWG to the TDG sub-committee and the IME report is the report provided by IME's UN consultant with additional commentary and action plan for going forward.  The IME report includes an annotated version of the UN report.

6/20/2011:  Reports page -- Updated the IME summary of documents.  Added 3 TDG document (INF.43, INF.44, and INF.47).

6/16/2011:  Reports page -- Updated the IME summary of documents.  Added 1 TDG document (INF.30) and 2 GHS documents (INF.11 and INF.12).

6/15/2011:

5/2/2011:  Reports page -- Added a link the IME summary of documents.  This document summarizes documents (currently there are 2) that address issues that might affect IME membership.

4/28/2011:  Reports page -- Added a new section for June 2011 TDG and GHS Sub-committee meetings.  This new section includes a links to meeting agenda and documents, the IME summary of documents (when available) for these UN sub-committee sessions, and the report for the IME Spring meeting (available now).  (Regarding the IME summary of documents, there are presently no documents posted for either meeting relating to explosives, so the IME summary of documents is currently unavailable.)  

4/26/2011:  Meeting Calendar.  The "final" draft agenda and the list of registrants have been updated.  Added a link to a description of the SMS tour.

4/21/2011:  Meeting Calendar.  Added a links to the final draft agenda, list of registrants, and IME's report on 6(d) implementation for the coming (May) EPP/CIE meetings.

4/4/2011:

Reports.  Added links to December 2010 post-meeting reports.  Reports added to this section include:

  • IME Report on the December meetings

  • Official UN report on the TDG Sub-committee meeting

  • Official UN report on the GHS Sub-committee meeting

  • Official UN report on the biennial TDG/GHS Committee meeting

  • Links to official UN documents listing all changes to the Model Regulations, Test Manual, and GHS Manual

Meeting Calendar.  Added a link to a more recent draft agenda for the coming (May) EPP/CIE meetings.

3/2/2011:  

  • IGUS/EPP/CIE meeting.  This is a reminder that the IGUS/EPP & 11th International Conference of Chief Inspectors of Explosives will be taking place in May.  The joint sessions will be held in Salt Lake City, UT from May 2 through May 11, 2011.  A tour of the SMS test facility has been scheduled for May 6 in conjunction with this conference.   Since this meeting is in the USA this year, IME members are encouraged to attend.   A link has been provided to the recently received call for papers, draft agenda, tour and meeting information.  

  • UN Sub-committee Meeting (June 2011).  The TDG and GHS sub-committees will be meeting in their first sessions of the new biennium in June.  IME's UN consultant will be attending both meetings.  IME members may attend one or both sub-committee meetings as part of the IME NGO delegation; however, since space is limited, only additional 3 delegates per sub-committee meeting can be accommodated.  The UN has not yet published agendas for these meetings, but links will be added to the meeting calendar once they have ... and an update will be published on the What's New page.

    • If you are interested in attending either the TDG or GHS or both sub-committee meetings, please send an e-mail request to David Boston or Lon Santis or to the address provided on the contact us page.  Requests should be submitted by 4/15/2011.

  • Meeting Calendar

    • Added a link for a draft agenda for the IGUS/EPP/CIE meeting.

    • Added a link and information about a tour of the SMS Test Facility on May 6 of the IGUS/EPP/CIE meeting.  Please note that registration for this tour is required to be submitted not later than 4/1/2011.
