10/21/2008:  Meeting Calendar

• EPA will host a GHS pre-UN meeting on November 18, 2008, from 10 am - 12 pm.  DOT will host a TDG pre-UN meeting on November 19, 2008, from 8 am - 11 am.  Details, including a copy of the Federal Register notice, have been posted on the Meeting Calendar page.

• Added a link to a October update regarding the joint EPP/CIE meeting in Newcastle (Australia) in October.  This update includes the final agenda and a list of registered participants.

9/25 - 9/26/2008:  Projects -- Created a section to track the status and progress of the proposed 6(d) test for 1.4S classification.  This new section includes a summary, status report, and links to related documents.

Reports

• Updated the July 2008 section to include links to the IME report on the July 2008 sub-committee meetings and the report for the IME Annual Meeting.

Meeting Calendar

• Added a link to a September update regarding the joint EPP/CIE meeting in Newcastle (Australia) in October.  This update includes the final draft agenda and a list of registered participants.

4/2/2008:  The first working paper by IME (as an NGO) has been published on the UN TDG sub-committee website.  ST/SG/AC.10/C.3/2008/10 expresses IME's opposition to the proposal for a new test to evaluate 1.4S candidates.

1/18/2008:  Meeting Calendar -- Added information of an intersessional working group meeting on Test Series 7.  Test Series 7 "is used to test extremely insensitive detonating substances (EIDS) and articles containing EIDS and is aimed primarily at military explosives".  The meeting will be held 6 - 7 March 2008 at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom near Swindon, UK.  For meeting materials and registration form, please see the entry on the Meeting Calendar.
